Cellist Katharina Gross and former cellomondo-composer Aurélio Edler-Copes invited composers from Brazil, Portugal and Mexico for edition #3 of cellomondo.
The composers are invited to link up with the theme “a world in transformation”. What keeps us busy? What stagnates – what transforms? cellomondo looks forward to new compositional answers to these questions!

Man wächst mit seinen Herausforderungen - diese Redewendungen, so könnte man vermuten, hat sich Katharina Gross zu ihrem künstlerischen Motto gemacht haben, liest man etwa davon, dass es sich die junge Cellistin zur Aufgabe gemacht hat, bei KomponistInnen eines jeden der weltweit 194 Länder der Erde und je einem ihrer Studierenden je ein Werk zu beauftragen und diese in Summe 388 Kompositionen zur Uraufführung zu bringen. Dieses weltumspannende Vorhaben ist aber nur eines der vielen kreativen Projekte, zu denen Ruth Ranacher und Michael Franz Woels der umtriebigen Künstlerin die Fragen stellten.
